Bethany is another theological institution of the Malayalam District of the SIAG, located in Thiruvananthapuram. Started in 1993 by the Southern region of the Malayalam District to give basic theological training for christian ministries and train workers for the southern region. But the school was undertaken by the Malayalam District and upgraded to a college level in 2004 and started offering Bachelor of Theology degree and the focus was enlarged. Bethany started to focus mainly on training workers to the reach the unreached parts of India and started sending workers to the Northern parts of India. Students from the different states of India were trained in this institution. Bethany has a very good library, and a good learning atmosphere. Bethany degrees and programs are accredited by an Evangelical accrediting agency, International Association for Theological Accreditation (IATA).
Bethany is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Malayalam District. Bethany is still on rental facilities.
